About this deal

If you’re a fan of brother’s best friend books, the fake dating troupe, or your just looking for a hella hot and feel good romance, pick up Fix Her Up. But in all seriousness, if you have not read a book by Tessa then I HIGHLY recommend that you start as soon as you can. yeah, she is a bit naive, but she grows and it mostly her own person with strengths and insecurities. The provocative opening takes a dark turn when Lily receives a warning about Ryle’s intentions from his sister, who becomes Lily’s employee and close friend. At 23, Georgie Castle is a proud business owner, but she hates that her family refuses to treat her like a responsible adult.

Firstly, Travis literally isn't interested in her until she 1) gets a haircut and wears tighter clothes and 2) another man takes an interest in her. the writing/storytelling style actually reminded me a lot of ‘the bromance bookclub,’ which i also adored. The first scene we're given feels like it should have been further into the book, not the introduction.New York Times Bestselling author Tessa Bailey can solve all problems except for her own, so she focuses those efforts on stubborn, fictional blue collar men and loyal, lovable heroines. There was this lack of awareness all the way through this story with both Georgie and Travis having no idea what the other one is feeling.

My list of things I disliked about this book was vast, but I just couldn’t shake the feeling that I cannot BELIEVE this book was published in 2019, especially through such a massive publisher. In the first, Macy Sorensen meets and falls in love with the boy next door, Elliot Petropoulos, in the closet of her dad’s vacation home, where they hide out to discuss their favorite books. I honestly think if the author embraced that a bit more and made it more explicitly kinky, people might have had less issues. i am honestly crying because what the hell is that supposed to mean, please do not refer to her breast as LITTLE. populates the novel with a lovable cast of meddling secondary characters who help and hinder Georgie and Travis.

The fake dating aspect doesn't begin until 40%, with Travis being an absolute asshole the entire time, only just learning from his mistakes. There’s a fair number of sex scenes (so be warned), and the language used by both parties reads more kinky than I would have expected from a mainstream romance.

In addition, I hated how Travis would constantly point out Georgie was a virgin and he was the first man to participate in sexual acts with her. He was also SO jealous and overprotective of her even when they weren’t even together, and Georgie let him get away with doing super sketchy stuff like sabotaging a date just because she thought he was ~so hot~. For all ebook purchases, you will be prompted to create an account or login with your existing HarperCollins username and password. After he's offered a position as a sport's caster and discovers they're looking for a man who's settled-down, Georgie proffers they fake date. They start as unlikely friends and confidants that soon leads to something more when Travis finally sees the woman Georgie always was.
