Switch roles at the halfway point so everyone gets a chance to explore the artwork. Teaching Spanish Colors in the Interpersonal Mode

Watch as through each different art supply, your children use a different muscle in their little hands. SPRINGCOLOR BY NUMBER IN SPANISH: VOCABULARY This free printable is for personal use and personal classroom use (to share this resource, please direct others to this post to grab their free copy)

In these spring color by number worksheets, I threw in two new colors. Celeste, which is the Spanish word for sky blue or light blue, and verde claro, or light/lime green. Once the resource has been printed out, you can choose which activity is best for your children - as this resource comes in different levels of difficulty. Once they’ve been handed the sheet, your pupils can begin colouring in and completing the task. Pupils can work on the sheet independently, or they can work together in pairs. Surely, given the time constraints, a day to pronounce the colors and practice them in class will be enough?

You could play a bilingual game and say the version in English. Have your child repeat it in Spanish and vice versa. Looking for more resources and free worksheets to teach students about geography for kids? You will love these coloring sheets, printable maps, books, activities and games: Using these Days of the week in Spanish printable worksheets will help your children in lots of ways. Firstly, your children will learn what the Spanish Days of the week are. Secondly, they will learn how to say the days, as they are spelt phonetically. Thirdly, there is an interesting fact about the origins of each of the words. And finally, this can be used as a cut-and-paste activity to make it more interactive. Phew, that’s a lot! You could also cover up the Spanish words and ask your children to say them out loud to help reinforce what they have learned. Interpretive: Students can understand colors when they hear or read them. Interpretive activities include having students follow oral or written directions, listen to a story or play a game following rules that incorporate the target language. These are usually pretty easy to incorporate into your classroom, since you’re used to talking and your students are used to listening. If you run out of time to use this resource in your lesson, you can always set this Spanish colour words printable worksheet as a homework task. Doing this resource at home, will help children practise their Spanish outside the classroom!

Your students will find a variety of images with a fun summer theme such as beach scenes, ladybugs, ice cream treats, flip flops and more. Civil War for Kids– students will learn about slavery, famous Americans from the Civil War, famous battles, and how our nation stayed together. Lesson includes printable worksheets, mapping activities, printable civil war board game and more! Getting your students to move from rehearsed use of the language to spontaneous production is one of the major challenges of encouraging Spanish fluency. The best way to do this is to create games that force students to ask each other for a hidden piece of information. This gives them incentive to use the language to complete the task, offers a more “real” experience and forces them to think flexibly and creatively.

Together go through and quietly fill in the correct colors. Let’s see if everyone’s color on the number sheets look the same! Playing games that tap into the joy of learning is a great way to do some team building while still learning Spanish. When your students feel comfortable, they’ll approach Spanish with lower inhibitions and be willing to take more risks—a crucial trait that gets kids using the target language without worrying about making a mistake or sounding silly.
